Lewistown, IL – A group of nine Americorps volunteers will help update Lewistown's Ratcliff Park next month.
City Staffer Alicia Campbell says the group will be building restrooms near the park's existing pavilion.
She says they will also do trenching and other work in preparation for an update of the park's electrical system.
And, she says they will clear the route of about 4,000 feet of hiking and biking path in the park.
Campbell says the paths will link with existing hiking and biking paths already in use in the town.
However, the paths in the park will include stations with suggested exercises for those who want to stretch.
She says this will allow those who want to to ride from town around the park. Others, who don't want to go so far, can drive to the park and then take to the trails.
