Monmouth, IL – Illinois State Police have arrested a suspect in a western Illinois murder case.
41-year old David McCoy of Shelby, North Carolina is accused of killing 41-year old Marvin Davis of Nashville, Tennessee.
Davis' body was found on September 2 along Highway 34, about seven miles east of Monmouth in Warren County. An autopsy confirmed he was murdered, but investigators have not said how he was killed. In addition, investigators have not said when he was killed.
The suspect - McCoy - is a truck driver. He was arrested by Illinois State Police on Friday near St Louis.
