Macomb, IL – Shakespeare and historic barns will be featured October 13 & 14 in McDonough County. The second Barnacopia will include performances of three of the Bard's plays.
Richard II begins at noon on October 13.
Twelfth Night begins at 4:00 pm on October 13.
Romeo & Juliet will be performed at 2:00 pm on October 14.
The plays will take place at the Flack Barn, 1600N Highway 136. The actors are from Western Illinois University and will do the shows unrehearsed. Macomb Area Convention and Visitors Bureau President Katherine Walker says plays were often done that way during Shakespeare's time.
Walker also says historic old barns are popular attractions. In fact, they're among the biggest draws in McDonough County. The CVB promotes around 30 historic barns.

Musicians will perform on both days at the Everly Barn, 1050N - 1950E.
Wild Moon performs at noon on October 13 and 3:00 pm on the 14th.
River City Banjo begins at 2:00 pm on October 13.
Chris Vallillo performs at 4:00 pm on October 13 and 1:00 pm on the 14th.
There will also be demonstrations by carvers from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday at the Everly Barn.
