Keokuk, IA – The Keokuk City Council is close to hiring its first city administrator.
26 people initially showed an interest in the post with 16 formally applying.
After reviewing applications, checking backgrounds and references, and conducting phone interviews, Facilitator Chuck Betts and the city's finance sub-committee narrowed the field to three.
The finalists are Brian James, Jim Ferneau, and Otis Jones.
Each finalist spent a day in the city, this week, taking part in meetings and interviews.
