Hamilton To Renovate High School Science Wing

Hamilton, IA – The Hamilton School District is ready to modernize its high school science wing.

Superintendent James Jackson says it will cost about $530,000 to renovate the chemistry and biology labs, classrooms and storage areas.

He says the rooms will also be air-conditioned.

Jackson says the labs, which were built 50-years ago, are seriously out-of-date and in need of an upgrade.

He says the district hopes to start the project after the students leave this spring and have the labs completed before they return in the fall.

He says the updated classrooms could allow the district to offer more science courses, including advanced placement classes.
