Macomb, IL – Nearly 600 Western Illinois University students graduated in mid-December. 20 of them were part of the Centennial Honors College.
Those students must meet certain GPA and coursework requirements. But for one of them, it also meant performing in front of a large audience.
That person is Denise Droege. She performed an hour-long recital that included songs for children, lullabyes, and musical theater selections.
Droege is a music therapy major. She's particularly interested in helping children with autism. She begins her internship in January at the Giants Step Center for Autism in Chicago.
