Illinois Primary Results

February 5, 2008 – Voters headed to the polls across the state to choose candidates in a variety of contests. Barack Obama won Illinois' Democratic primary for president, while John McCain won the Republican primary in Illinois.

There were few contested races around west central Illinois. There were six referenda around the region, including five in Hancock County.

Here are the results of the contested primaries and the referenda in west central Illinois. The winners are noted in boldface:
