Teahen Running For Congress

Cedar Rapids, IA – A small businessman from Cedar Rapids says he is running for Congress to restore the core values of this country.

Republican Peter Teahen says Washington D.C. has become a government for the lobbyists and bureaucrats instead of being a government of the people, for the people, by the people.

He hopes to unseat Congressman Dave Loebsack (D-Mt. Vernon) in Iowa's 2nd District, which includes the southeast corner of the state.

Teahen says residents are ready for a leader who will help them take control of their own lives, as opposed to the politicians in Washington who try to control everything.

Teahen says this will be his first run for political office.

He has experience as a humanitarian aid worker, having worked with the American Red Cross at nearly 50 national and international disasters.
