Carthage, IL – Work continues on a plan to help Carthage recover from the massive layoffs coming to the Methode Electronics plant.
Task forces are being formed to deal with six areas of concern. Community Developer Brenda Pyatt feels the city is on the verge of putting together a workable plan.
The six areas of concern were studied during a recent meeting. Pyatt says more such meetings will be held.
Pyatt says the response from city and county leaders has been fantastic. She's also impressed with the assistance offered by a variety of people from throughout the region and the state.
Pyatt feels there are several industries that are growing in Carthage. Those include healthcare, veterinary medicine, and tourism.
