Fort Madison, IA – Another candidate has added his name to the list of those looking to represent Southern Lee County in Des Moines.
Fort Madison Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tracy Vance says his top priority, if elected in House District 92, would be bringing jobs to Lee County.
He says he would also work to change Iowa's commercial property tax system, to keep the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, and to encourage young Iowans to remain in the state after graduation.
Vance has served on the Lee County Board of Supervisors and on the Fort Madison School Board.
He is the fourth candidate, and third Democrat, to file in House District 92.
Friday is the last day candidates could file for state or federal office in Iowa.
