Flights Starting Soon

Burlington, IA – Commercial flights from Burlington to Chicago-O'Hare International Airport and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport are scheduled to get underway Wednesday, Jan. 27.

They will be offered through Missouri-based Air Choice One.

The service was to get underway on Monday, Jan. 10. Delays in securing airport access in Chicago and St. Louis pushed the start date back.

Manager Mary Beaird says the Southeast Iowa Regional Airport and the entire region will benefit from the flights to Chicago.

Air Choice One's website shows that a one-way flight on Wednesday, Jan. 27 from Burlington to Chicago would cost about $86. A flight from Burlington to St. Louis on that same day would cost about $65.

Air Choice One will eventually offer two daily, round-trip flights to each city.

Beaird says it has been several years since the essential air service provider for the Southeast Iowa Regional Airport offered flights to Chicago. The current provider offers daily flights to Kansas City.
