"I support Tri States Public Radio for a variety of reasons, and the main one probably sounds pretty corny: I want to be a good, well-informed citizen. I believe that by being a good, well-informed citizen, I am better equipped to contribute to my community and that, in turn, improves my own life. Tri States Public Radio serves as a key resource for me because it provides reliable information about my world, country, and region.

On a lighter note, I also appreciate TSPR's wide-ranging music shows, storytelling shows such as The Moth, and humorous gameshows, such as Ask Me Another.

Most of my friends, I think, also value being well-informed, and that is why I am asking you to join me in supporting TSPR as a way of marking my birthday this year."
