JACKSONVILLE, IL — The Art Association of Jacksonville invites families to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a morning full of creativity, color, and patriotic fun during Art in the Yard on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at The David Strawn Art Gallery.

Designed for children and families, the outdoor event will feature hands-on art activities inspired by famous American landmarks and legendary artists. Participants will enjoy painting, crafting, and creative exploration in a festive outdoor setting at the gallery.

Activities will include:
∙ American landmark-inspired art projects
∙ Famous artist-themed creations
∙ Red, white, and blue patriotic crafts
∙ Outdoor family-friendly fun

The cost is $5 per child. Adult supervision is required, and advanced registration is not necessary.

The David Strawn Art Gallery is located at 331 W. College Ave. in Jacksonville.
