Burlington, Iowa is proud to celebrate National Parks and Recreation Appreciation Month with Community Day in the Parks on Saturday, July 8, 2023 in Dankwardt and Crapo Parks. Come together with our community as we recognize the many ways in which our local parks system grows and sustains our community by providing places for people to gather, foster friendships and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Community Day in the Parks is a new event open to all ages featuring a wide variety of activities such as archery, disc golf, adult and youth cornhole tournaments, Crapo Park historical and arboretum tours, food vendors and more, all sponsored by local organizations, businesses and community members. This event will culminate in the annual SEISO Symphonic Blast Concert happening later that evening at the Crapo Park Bandshell.
