Dankwardt Park Pool Concept Open House

Dankwardt Park Pool Concept Open House

The City of Burlington is inviting residents to attend a public open house to review and provide feedback on the preliminary concept plan for the future of the Dankwardt Park Pool.

The open house will be held on Thursday, July 9, with two opportunities to attend:
• 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The event will take place at the current Dankwardt Park Pool site and is open to all residents. Attendees may stop by at any time during either session. The preliminary concept plan is the result of the City's ongoing Pool Replacement Feasibility Study. It incorporates analysis, operational considerations, construction cost estimates, and community feedback received through the public survey. The concept is intended to provide a realistic vision for a modern aquatic facility while remaining mindful of long-term financial sustainability.

During the open house, residents will have the opportunity to:
• View the preliminary concept plan and renderings.
• Learn about the proposed amenities, layout, and estimated construction costs.
• Ask questions of City staff and the project consultant.
• Provide feedback on the concept through an interactive survey and comment opportunities.

Community input received during the open house will be reviewed by City staff and the consultant team as refinements are made to the concept before it is presented to the Parks Advisory Commission and City Council for further consideration. No decisions regarding final design or project funding have been made.
"The future of aquatic recreation is an important community investment," said Eric Tysland, Development & Parks Director. "We encourage residents to attend, learn more about the project, and share their thoughts. The feedback we receive will help us refine the concept and ensure it reflects the needs and priorities of our community."
