The annual Juneteenth Community Celebration returns to Quincy for its third year running, hosted by First Baptist Church of Quincy, IL. It will be held in various locations throughout the city from June 8th – June 16th, 2024.

To kick off the Community Festival, a motorcycle ride-in by Buffalo Soldiers from Kansas City and Saint Louis chapters will begin at noon from Quincy High School, proceeding west on Maine Street. The festival will be held on Saturday, June 15th in Washington Park from 1-8:30pm and will be loaded with family-friendly activities including kids’ zone, talent show, bounce houses, live petting zoo, and vendors. There will also be a cake walk, Puttin on the Hits, and special appearance by If You Give a Mouse a Cookie cartoon character. Lil Mister and Miss Juneteenth will be onsite, and non-perishable food items are welcome as donations to the Horizon Food truck.
