MACOMB, IL- The City of Macomb is excited to bring back the Lights & Sights Holiday Bus Tour. To
spread holiday cheer to all Macomb residents, the City is partnering with Go-West and the Public
Transportation Department to offer a free holiday bus ride through the residential Tour of Lights
displays. Participants will board the bus at the City of Macomb City Center at 6:30pm. The tour is
expected to last 45 minutes to 1 hour.
This festive event will be held twice throughout the month of December. The first ride is set for
Thursday, December 11 and the second on Thursday, December 18. Residents wishing to participate in
the Lights & Sights Holiday Bus Tour must sign up on the City of Macomb Community Calendar. Seats are
limited. All children must be with an adult. There will be no stops on the tour.
“We look forward to continuing this holiday initiative as a way for our community members, who may
be familiar with the Macomb’s public transportation system, to experience some extra Christmas cheer
this season” said Savannah Ballard, Marketing and Downtown Development Director. “With the help of
the residents who have decorated their homes for the holiday season and submitted their addresses to
the Tour of Lights, we have the opportunity to ensure those who want to see the lights, will have the
chance to do so” added Ballard.
For families who wish to individually drive through the Tour of Lights, the full list of addresses has been
posted to the City of Macomb Website. Residents are welcome to drive the tour at any time throughout
the holiday season and vote for their favorite display using the following link:
