MAYUKO ONO GRAY - This Too, Shall Pass
Houston-based artist Mayuko Ono Gray will have her solo exhibition, "This Too, Shall Pass", on display August 24 through September 25 at the Western Illinois University Art Gallery.
An opening reception for the artist will be held Tuesday, August 25, 4:30-6:00 p.m. The artist will speak about her work at 5:00 pm.
Mayuko Ono Gray is an artist based in Houston, TX whose primary medium is graphite drawing. Born in Japan, she trained in traditional Japanese calligraphy in her youth and later studied classical Western drawing. Ono Gray moved to the United States following high school and went on to receive her MFA in Painting from the University of Houston in 2007. Her work has been exhibited extensively in the United States and abroad, including exhibitions in Japan, Mexico, Germany, Italy, the UK, Greece, and Canada. Her works are represented by Hooks-Epstein galleries in Houston, TX, and by Galería 910 in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Parking will be allowed near the gallery starting at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the reception.
