Schuyler County Bicentennial Celebration

Schuyler County Bicentennial Celebration

Schuyler County is proud to announce the upcoming Bicentennial Celebration, honoring 200 years of history, heritage, and community spirit. This once-in-a-lifetime milestone will bring residents, families, and visitors together for a series of events showcasing the county’s past, present, and future.

The celebration will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including:
● Bicentennial Reception with free cake balls, and unveiling of new county flag
● Time Capsule that will be opened in 2075 on that court house lawn
● Historical exhibits and displays honoring Schuyler County’s heritage
● Family-friendly activities, games, and contests including a kiddie and pet parade
● Food vendors and local artisans sharing their talents and flavors

“The Bicentennial is not just about looking back at where we’ve been, but also celebrating the people and communities that continue to make Schuyler County a wonderful place to call home,” said Janet Kays, committee chair. “We are excited to honor our history while creating new memories together.”

The committee extends its appreciation to local sponsors, volunteers, and community members who are helping make this milestone event possible.

Events will take place September 19, 20 & 21 in downtown Rushville, with full schedules and details available at smilesday.org or visit Schuyler County Bicentennial or Smiles Day on facebook.
