Spoon River College Hosting Public Forums Seeking Input in Search for New President
Spoon River College will host three public forums to gather input that will assist with the
development of the Presidential Profile as the search to identify the next President of Spoon
River College begins.
The hour-long forums will be held on Wednesday, March 25, with the first taking place at 8:30
a.m. in Room A of the Macomb Outreach Center, located at 2500 East Jackson Street. Forums
will then be held in the Engle Conference Center on the Canton Campus at 11 a.m. and at 2
p.m. The Canton campus is located at 23235 N. County Highway 22.

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VRS3H9D . The Profile will be used in the recruitment and
evaluation of candidates. Please submit survey feedback no later than 6:00 PM (Central) on
Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
Dr. Curt Oldfield, who has served as the SRC president since 2012, has accepted the presidency
of Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, effective July 1.
The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) has been selected to assist the college
with the Presidential search process. ACCT’s assistance will include providing support with the
development of the Presidential Profile, recruiting highly competitive candidates, and working
extensively with the College and the Board of Trustees. Keith Miller, Ph.D. and former Spoon
River College president, will serve as the ACCT Search Consultant and will assist the College
throughout the process.
