Macomb, IL — The Western Illinois Museum invites the community to an afternoon of film, food, and conversation with a screening of the award-winning documentary Story & Pictures By on Sunday, June 7, from 3:30 to 6:00 pm at the Museum.
 

More than a film about children’s books, Story & Pictures By explores the creative process behind picture books and the powerful role reading plays in shaping how children understand themselves and the world around them. Following the screening, guests are invited to stay for Larry A’s pizza, dessert, and conversation. A suggested $5 donation will be collected at the door. The film runs approximately 84 minutes and is not rated.

This event is the second in the Museum’s film series exploring how literacy serves as a gateway to discovering, sharing, and expanding knowledge. Through reading, writing, and critical thinking, literacy helps people move beyond simply consuming information to actively engaging with ideas and experiences.

Screening followed by pizza, dessert, and conversation.
