The Hub Arts & Cultural Center Presents On My Way: Paintings by Becky Altic
The Hub Arts & Cultural Center is pleased to announce the opening of On My Way, a new solo exhibition featuring the paintings of Bloomington, IL artist Becky Altic. The public is invited to meet the artist at an opening reception on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Hub Arts & Cultural Center in Rushville, Illinois. Inspired by the landscapes, paths, and details encountered along life's journeys, Altic's stunning paintings invite viewers to slow down and truly see the world around them. "The paths trails, and routes have all lent their wonder and wisdom to me," Altic reflects. "They each have a story to tell, a voice, a unique beauty to share with anyone who takes a second glance their way. It's up to us to slow down a bit and take it all in."
At 6:00 pm, Altic will give an artist talk, sharing the stories behind her paintings and the journeys that inspired them. The opening reception is free and open to the public and will feature light refreshments. The evening continues just down the road at the RIHS Performing Arts Center, where Liverpool Legends will deliver an unforgettable night of music brought to you by our friends at the Schuyler Performing Arts Council. Tickets are required for the Liverpool Legends performance; visit https://ticketstripe.com/July10Liverpool-legends for details or get your tickets at the door.
On My Way will remain on view through August 28, 2026. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 1:00–5:00 pm, and Friday, 11:00 am–4:00 pm. Groups and classes are welcome by appointment; contact The Hub at erin@thehubart.com or (217) 216-5032 ext. 1 to arrange a visit outside regular hours.
