Western Illinois University Theatre and Dance has announced its 2026-27 season, featuring a lineup of classic theatre, contemporary musical theatre, original dance works, and a showcase highlighting the talents of WIU students and faculty. The 2026-27 season will take place in the new Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts, with performances in the Clow Theatre and Hainline Theatre, in Brown Hall.
THE THANKSGIVING PLAY is a fast-paced comedy in which four enthusiastic (and wildly underprepared) theater artists try to create a “respectful” Thanksgiving play, only to hilariously reveal their own misunderstandings and blind spots along the way. With sharp wit and playful satire, the play pokes fun at good intentions gone wrong and the stories we tell ourselves about history.
