Western Illinois University Theatre and Dance has announced its 2026-27 season, featuring a lineup of classic theatre, contemporary musical theatre, original dance works, and a showcase highlighting the talents of WIU students and faculty. The 2026-27 season will take place in the new Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts, with performances in the Clow Theatre and Hainline Theatre, in Brown Hall.

World-class Vocalist and Entertainer from New Zealand performs with live piano and Philharmonic Orchestra tracks.
A true variety of popular music, from Josh Groban and Il Divo, to Les Misérables, to Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, and Simon & Garfunkel.

Marshall Charloff & The Purple Xperience is the most celebrated tribute to Prince in the world. The group was co-founded in the “Purple Mecca” – Minneapolis – by Marshall and Matt “Doctor” Fink (keyboardist from Prince & The Revolution) in 2011, an era when Prince closely monitored the use of his art. Their vision was to deliver Prince’s music on the highest level, played live and untracked by skilled musicians, while paying respectful homage through costuming and likeness.

Immediately met with success and adoration from discerning Prince devotees, the band is now in its 14th year of touring, nationwide and internationally, and has performed for over 1 million fans. In 2019, Marshall Charloff & The Purple Xperience were selected by the US Department of State to be featured in the USA Pavilion of the World Expo in Dubai. The band continues to hold the distinction of playing the show 100% LIVE, COMPLETELY UNTRACKED–paying homage to the greatest musician of our time –Prince–with REAL MUSICIANSHIP.

Nova Singers, led by award-winning conductor Dr. Laura Lane, is thrilled to announce their 2026-27 concert season.  In its 41st season of bringing the finest choral music to audiences in Galesburg and the Quad Cities, Nova continues to push the envelope regarding innovative programming. The season opens on October 10th and 11th with Music of South Africa, featuring guest conductor Dr. Michael Barrett from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.  December’s concert, A Nova Christmas, celebrates the holiday season with favorite carols and other songs of the season.  In April 2027, Nova Singers will present So Breaks the Sun, a concert about hope and light.

INTO THE WOODS is an epic adventure with a Baker and his Wife venturing into a haunted forest to break a family curse, finding themselves entangled in the stories of a Witch, Cinderella, Jack (and his beanstalk), and a wolf-stalked Little Red Riding Hood. Along the way, "happily ever after" takes a turn.
