UPDATE: The Walmart Supercenter in Macomb reopened Tuesday morning. It was closed Monday afternoon after a fire at the store.
Fire Chief Rick Driskell said the fire department was called to the scene shortly after 2:30 p.m. on a report of black smoke coming from the roof.
He said the rooftop solar panels and the roof sustained severe damage. The inside of the store sustained water damage but no fire damage.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
