The National Weather Service said north winds and bitter cold temperatures will result in wind chills as low as 15 below to 25 below zero this morning.  A dusting of additional snow is possible.

Light snow is possible Wednesday and Wednesday night with one to two inches of powdery snow possible.

Announcements for Tuesday

All Carl Sandburg College campuses will open at 10:00 a.m. On-site and virtual classes will resume at that time. All online classes will continue uninterrupted.

The Dallas City Elementary School District canceled classes. All evening activites are canceled.

The City of Galesburg lifted its snow emergency at 9:00 a.m.

The Henderson County Health Department will not hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic this week. The department said shipments of the vaccine were not delivered because of wintery weather.

The Illini West School District will hold a remote learning day.

The Keokuk Public Library will open at 11:30 a.m.

The Keokuk Public School District will operate on a two-hour delay. Buses will run only on hard surface roads. has now canceled classes for Tuesday.

The Keokuk School Board meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, February 22, at 6:00 p.m.

Keokuk Catholic will hold a virtual learning day. 

The La Harpe School District will hold a remote learning day.

The Macomb Park Board meeting is canceled.

The Macomb School District will hold a remote learning day.

Southeastern Community College will open its sites at 10: 00 a.m.

All Spoon River College campuses are closed.

Waste Management will not operate in Macomb today due to the weather conditions. Service for today, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be delayed by one day.

Both of Western Illinois University’s campuses are operating under a Winter Weather Advisory through 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16. Both campuses will be open and classes will be held.

YMCA senior meals will not be delivered in Macomb or Bushnell.
