After making a comeback in the late 1980s, tuberculosis has steadily declined in the U.S. Last year alone, TB cases dropped 6 percent compared to 2011, making it the first time, the number of annual infections was below 10,000.
48 tested positive for COVID-19 on Royal Caribbean cruise ship docking in Miami
The seven-night cruise ended in Miami on Saturday after making three stops in the Caribbean. More than 6,000 people were on the ship, which required testing and those 12 and over to be vaccinated.
