Journalists killed covering the crisis in Ukraine

At least five journalists have been killed while reporting on the war in eastern Europe, which began on February 24 when Russia invaded Ukraine.

American journalist Brent Renaud was working for Time Studios, Ukrainian journalist Sasha Kushynova was a consultant for Fox News, and Irish cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski was alongside Kushynova.

Also killed in the past month were Ukrainian journalists Evgeny Sakun and Viktor Dudar.

Also regarding the war, NPR reported that the Kremlin has been spreading lies about the U.S. and Ukraine conducting chemical and biological weapons activities. NPR said Russia has been receiving help in disseminating its disinformation from far-right social media channels, Fox News, and followers of the QAnon conspiracy theory.
