An accrediting agency decided to at least temporarily downgrade the accreditation of the journalism school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As WRAL reported, the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications found the school was not meeting the standards set by the agency’s resolution on diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.
The agency also cited the University of Idaho's journalism school with diversity and inclusion issues.
