Remembering Minow; and looking back on the school year
Former FCC Chairman Newton Minow died on May 7 at his home in Chicago. He was 97.
He also served as chairman of PBS.
Minow was instrumental in organizing televised presidential debates, and he cautioned against TV becoming a “vast wasteland.”
