Media magnate to step down
Rupert Murdoch says he will step down this fall from his role as chairman of the global broadcast and newspaper corporation he founded.
His son Lachlan Murdoch will take over.
NPRdescribed Rupert Murdoch as “the media magnate who built an unmatched global media empire over seven decades from a single newspaper he inherited in his native Australia.”
Murdoch perhaps has become best known as the founder of Fox News, but also owns the Wall Street Journal, the Times of London, and more.
