TV Crew Hassled During Live Report

NPR reported that a man who disrupted NBC News correspondent Shaquille Brewster's live coverage on Hurricane Ida faces a variety of charges.

The NPR story said while Brewster was talking on the air, a white Ford pickup truck could be seen abruptly pulling off the road to park in the background. A man later identified as Benjamin Dagley of Wooster, Ohio then ran at the TV crew and repeatedly yelled at them, apparently concerned about accuracy in the media.

Dagley was arrested a few days later.

Another news outletreported this was not Dagley’s first run-in with the law. In 2017 he nearly caused an environmental disaster in Ohio after drilling holes into tanks of dangerous chemicals, including hydrochloric acid.
