Macomb School District

The price tag for electric buses remains too high.

The school board this week agreed to proceed with acquiring 18 new buses for next school year.

The Board of Education could vote on the issue in December.

Now that Macomb Middle School is open, the district can remodel the former junior-senior high to serve exclusively as a high school.

The district held a grand opening event on Thursday for Macomb Middle School.

The district just concluded its first year with no student activity fees.

There will be some new faces on the Macomb City Council and the Macomb Board of Education.

The district will add a storm shelter to MacArthur Early Childhood Center.

Macomb school bus driver Terra Litchfield said on average, one car a day blows through the stop sign. On one recent day, there were three right in a row.
