SAFE-T Act

The state’s high court ruled on Tuesday that the SAFE-T Act strikes a balance between the rights of people accused of crimes and the rights of crime victims.

State Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth, D-Peoria, says that while she feels much of the outcry over the SAFE-T Act has been politically motivated, she admits changes are necessary.
