The show debuted at the Hainline Theatre at Western Illinois University on July 20, 2024.

The show “Forgottonia” combines the music of Chris Vallillo with the black and white images of award-winning photographer Tim Schroll.

The show, which takes a look at rural Illinois over the last 40 years, debuted in
Macomb in July, and now it’s headed to Galesburg’s Orpheum Theatre, 57 S. Kellogg St.

Known as the “Jewel of Galesburg,” the Orpheum dates back to 1916. Vallillo is looking forward to performing on its stage.

“The Orpheum is a magnificent old, vintage, vaudeville-era theater that’s been completely restored. It’s a glorious space,” said Vallillo, who is also producer of the show.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23. Tickets can be purchased online from the Orpheum or from Vallillo.

Vallillo said the show is a chance to experience Forgottonia as he saw it when he arrived in western Illinois in the 1970s, and how it’s evolved since then.
