Current Macomb city council members filed challenges against a pair of candidates planning to run in the April 1, 2025 election.

At-large council member Don Wynn filed objections against the nominating petitions submitted by Amanda Dean.

She filed to run for the second ward seat currently held by John Vigezzi, who is seeking reelection.

Vigezzi filed objections to the nominating papers submitted by Tammie Leigh Brown-Edwards, who is running for the at-large position held by Dennis Moon, who is not running.

Jennifer Hemingway has also filed for the at-large seat.

Brown-Edwards previously served one term as an at-large city council member, but lost to Wynn in her reelection bid in April 2023.

A hearing on the objections will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 2, at city hall.

The agenda does not provide details about the objections.
