One person is dead and four others were injured after a crash near Basco on Wednesday morning.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said the 2015 Honda SUV driven by Misty Linski of Basco crossed the center on County Road 900 North, where it collided with an oncoming vehicle.
Linski was taken to Memorial Hospital in Carthage, where she was pronounced dead.
Two passengers in her vehicle were taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy. One of them was later transferred to a hospital in Springfield.
The driver of the other vehicle and a passenger were both taken to Blessing, where they were treated and released.
The crash happened at around 9:50 a.m.
The sheriff’s department said the crash remains under investigation.
