Illinois State Police executed a search warrant at a Galesburg residence on Thursday in the 400 block of North Academy Street, leading to the arrest of a man on multiple felony child pornography counts.
Destan L. Hoots, 45, is charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography under the age of 25 and one count of dissemination of child pornography.
ISP special agents collected electronic evidence at the residence. The evidence was analyzed and revealed child sexual abuse materials.
The Galesburg Police Department, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, and the Illinois Attorney General’s High-Tech Crimes Unit assisted with the investigation.
Hoots is in custody at the Knox County jail.
