Macomb juvenile arrested for discharging weapon into neighbor’s apartment

Macomb police arrested a juvenile after he fired a gun into a neighboring apartment on Wednesday night.

The apartment’s resident said he heard a loud noise, followed by drywall debris landing on him while he was in bed.

The next morning he found a hole in the wall and a projectile on the floor.

Police say they executed a search warrant on the apartment next door, where they found a stolen handgun and a high-capacity magazine.

The juvenile is charged with possession of a stolen firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of firearm without a FOID card, and possession of ammunition without a FOID card.

No injuries are reported.
