Macomb has made public the site it’s looking at for the proposed indoor sports complex.
The 30-acre site is at the southwest corner of East Jackson Street and Bower Road on the city’s far east side. It’s currently owned by Peoria-based Jackson LLC.
The cost is $2 million.
A memo from City Administrator Scott Coker says the agreement allows the city an extended period of due diligence up to August 31, 2027 if needed.
The memo says there will be no cost to the city if the sports complex project does not proceed.
City council members are scheduled to discuss the purchase agreement during their committee of the whole meeting on Monday, March 9.
