SRC seeks public input in search for new president

Spoon River College will hold three public forums as the board begins its search for the college’s next president.

All three forums will be held on Wednesday, March 25:

  • 8:30 a.m. at the SRC Community Outreach Center on the Macomb campus, 2500 E. Jackson St.
  • 11 a.m. in the Engle Conference Center on the Canton campus, 23235 N. County Highway 22
  • 2 p.m. in the Engle Conference Center on the Canton campus, 23235 N. County Highway 22

An online survey is also available. The college asks for online surveys to be filled out no later than 6 p.m. on March 25.

Current President Curt Oldfield will leave SRC to become president of Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield beginning July 1.

He’s served as SRC’s president since 2012.

The Association of Community College Trustees is assisting SRC with the search process.
