The National Weather Service has updated its report on the severe storms of Friday night, April 17.
The NWS now says there were 33 tornadoes throughout central Illinois.
That includes a pair of EF2 tornadoes in western Illinois. EF2 tornadoes have wind speeds of 111 mph to 135 mph.
One started near Industry in McDonough County before moving into Fulton County. It had estimated peak winds of 115 mph.
The weather service says it likely merged with another EF2 tornado that started near Table Grove in Fulton County. It had estimated peak winds of 130 mph.
Both caused damage but no deaths or injuries are reported.
An EF1 tornado with estimated peak winds of 90 mph started east of Victoria in Knox County before moving into Stark County. It caused damage but no deaths or injuries.
EF1 tornadoes were also reported in Hancock and McDonough counties.
The greatest structural damage from Friday night’s storms was reported further east near Bloomington-Normal in McLean County.
