A member of the McDonough District Hospital Board of Directors resigned from the panel this week so that she can instead serve as the hospital’s Transitional Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Wanda Foster was previously Chief Nursing Officer at MDH before retiring a couple years ago.
Terms of Foster’s contract as interim CEO must still be approved by the board.
The hospital announced in mid-May that current President and CEO Bill Murdock would be transitioning out of that role in 60 days. He served in that role for about two years.
The board is continuing its search for his permanent replacement.
