Galesburg and Kazakhstani Companies Meet

en.wikipedia.org

Some Galesburg businesses could have a new market for their products, one that’s six thousand miles away.
Representatives from 5 Galesburg companies will meet in Chicago Monday with business leaders from Kazakhstan.

Gary Camarano, Global Strategies Director for Galesburg, could not say which specific business will attend the meeting, but he said they include a baby care products manufacturer and another that makes sterilizing equipment for pharmaceutical products.

"What we're trying to do is just assist in bringing opportunities to our business that they might not be aware of, and hoping that they can increase their market penetration and find new markets, new customers and so on," he said.

Camarano said this is not the first time businesses from Kazakhstan have been interested in making a deal with Galesburg companies.

He said a Kazakhstani food company came to Galesburg last year trying to find someone to supply them with soft-serve ice cream.
