Galesburg police said they have arrested the two suspects wanted in the shooting death of a 15-year old boy.
Brandon Kenney, 18, of Galesburg was taken into custody Friday, January 3. Alex Horton, 18, of Galesburg was arrested the day before.
The body of the victim, Javon Butler, 15, of Galesburg was found in the backyard at 607 Monmouth Boulevard on Sunday evening, December 22. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not revealed a possible motive for the shooting.
Police said Kenney was arrested at a home near Galesburg. Kenney is charged with First Degree Murder. His bond is $1,000,000.
Horton is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and with a parole violation. His bond is $250,000. Police said they found Horton at his home.
