The head of the Clark County Board will not have a chance at a second term in office.

Presiding Commissioner Ron Brewer was defeated in the Republican primary by challenger Buddy Kattelmann.

Kattelmann appears to be a shoo-in for the Clark County Board with no Democrats in the race.

Schantz will face Democratic Circuit Clerk Kay Biggerstaff in November.
