The Keokuk School District's administrative team will look much different when students resume classes this fall. In fact, just one of the seven principals and assistant principals within Keokuk's four buildings will return in the same position.
Superintendent Tim Hood said that type of transition can be difficult, and it can be especially difficult to fill all of the vacancies within a couple of months.
"Anytime you have turnover, (and) you are replacing people who have been here (for) a while and (have) done a great job, it's hard," said Hood. "But you are kind of excited about new ideas and (new) people coming in."
The vacancies were created by retirements and employees taking new jobs both inside and outside the district.

Keokuk High School
- Principal - Zach Wigle (two-year contract, $97,300/TBD as returning admin salaries have not been approved)
- Asst. Principal - Heather Davis (one-year contract, $78,000)
Keokuk Middle School
- Principal - Brad McCloskey (one-year contract, $90,000)
- Asst. Principal - Adam Magliari (one-year contract, $75,000)
Hawthorne Elementary School
- Principal - Jeremy Negus (one-year contract, $85,000)
- Asst. Principal - Mike Marsden (one-year contract, $67,000)
George Washington Elementary School
- Principal - Kevin Henrichs (one-year contract, $85,000)
