The Burlington Police Department said one person was arrested following a fatal stabbing Tuesday. Officers responding to the 1300 block of South Garfield Street at 2:19 p.m. found a woman with a stab wound.
Mallery Doak, 23, of Burlington was pronounced dead at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. An autopsy will be conducted in Iowa City.
Police arrested Kaylee Wilson, 18, of Burlington and charged her with one count of Second Degree Murder. Wilson was taken to the Des Moines County Correctional Center.
