U.S. Rep. Cheri Bustos has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a series of tweets Monday, Bustos, D-Moline, said she's experiencing mild symptoms, but still feeling good overall.
I have tested positive for the COVID virus. I am experiencing mild symptoms, but still feel well.
I have been in contact with my medical provider and, per CDC guidance, am self-isolating.— Rep. Cheri Bustos (@RepCheri) November 16, 2020
The Democratic congresswoman said she's self-isolating and will be working from home remotely until cleared by her doctor. She said all the people she recently was in contact with have been notified.
Bustos is the third member of the Illinois congressional delegation to report a positive test result. U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Taylorville, tested positive in August, and Rep. Mike Bost, R-Murphysboro, received a positive result last month.
Both men have since recovered.
