Updated Weather Announcements - Tuesday, January 26, 2021

The entire region remains under a Winter Weather Advisory until noon on Tuesday, January 26. A bit more snow and freezing drizzle likely before noon. Colder weather will then move into the region. The Wednesday night low could dip to 2 degrees in Burlington and Galesburg, 4 degrees in Keokuk, and 6 degrees in Macomb.


The City of Burlington public meeting regarding collective bargaining, scheduled for Tuesday, has been canceled.

All Carl Sandburg College campuses will remain closed Tuesday.

The Carthage Elementary School Distrrict will be closed Tuesday.

The Clark County R-1 School District is closed Tuesday.

The Dallas City Elementary School District will hold a remote learning day Tuesday.

The Fort Madison School District will have a two hour delay Tuesday. Buses will run on hard surfaces only.

The City of Galesburg lifted its snow emergency at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. 

Also in Galesburg, the city has canceled Tuesday's meeting of the police pension commission.

The Illini West High School District will use remote learning Tuesday.

Keokuk Public and Catholic schools will have a two-hour delay Tuesday. Buses will run on hard surface roads only.

The LaHarpe School District will hold a remote learning day on Tuesday.

Milestones Area Agency on Aging will not provide Home Meal Delivery Service on Tuesday or Wednesday this week in the Keokuk, Fort Madison, and Burlington areas.  Meal delivery will resume on Thursday, January 28.

The Schuyler-Industry School District will not hold in-person classes Tuesday. Students should work on their snow folders and check email for messages from teachers.

Southeastern Community College will reopen all its sites at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The West Burlington School District will hold remote learning only on Tuesday.

Western Illinois University issued a weather advisory for its Macomb and Moline campuses. It continues through 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Both campuses will remain open and classes will be held. Faculty, staff, and students are asked to make their own decisions regarding attendance and to use their judgment concerning travel conditions.
